Andrew
Stirling
Andrew Stirling is the former General Manager of AECL Accelerators.
He planned and led the team that developed Atomic Energy of Canada's high energy, high power electron beam technology. He set up and managed the business unit that produced and marketed
the accelerators. He managed R&D programs to develop new uses for electron beams,
including food irradiation, plastics, composites and cellulose treatment. He has
extensive international experience in electron beam projects. He is a Ph.D. in Physics
with the business skills and experience needed for industrial electron accelerator
projects.
Prior to his 15 years of accelerator experience he was Director
of Electronics, Control and Instrumentation at Canada's national nuclear
research laboratory.

Gerry
Hare
Gerry Hare has an extensive background in marketing, engineering
and physics as a result of more than thirty years experience in electron accelerator,
medical device and semiconductor projects. He project managed the
development, initial production, installation and servicing of the first cancer
therapy electron accelerator to use computer controls, established the marketing
of electron sterilization equipment to the medical sterilization industry and device
manufacturers, and worked with regional development agencies to attract medical
device manufacturing. In addition, he has worked on International (ISO) Standards
for electron sterilization.
I-Ax Technologies Inc. have presented numerous seminars and technical
papers to the International Meetings on Radiation Processing, US Parenteral Drug
Association, the Japan Conferences on Radiation, the Welsh Medical Forum UK, International
Atomic Energy Agency, the Pacific Basin Nuclear Conferences, Saskatchewan Association
of Municipalities, Queensland Department of Trade, Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture,
King Abdul Aziz Science Foundation, and have provided extensive instructional courses
on electron beam technology.
